The Volkswagen Beetle has always been one of the most iconic shapes in the automotive world. Its shape of a bug has always been both admired and mocked since its introduction in the late 1930s… An idea that came from Adolf Hitler which become the best-selling car of all time. But yet Hitler also had plans for the styling of the Volkswagen, he is reputed to have said “It should look like a Beetle, you have to look to nature to find out what streamlining is.”, hence the name Beetle.
Besides that Hitler stole the idea of the iconic VW beetle from a Jewish designer Mr Ganz whom designed the car during 1928 and made many drawings of a beetle. So originally the car was drown in 1928 by Jewish inventor Mr Ganz and ‘Hitler saw his prototype.

He must have read Ganz magazine which had the beetle drawings and also specified how the car should cost less at R1 0000. Then Hitler made the Beetle come to life in the early 1936 just after, Mr Ganz journalist inventor magazine was shut down after the meeting between Hitler and also Mr Granz in 1935 and he was in trouble with the Gestapo (Secret State Police).
Jewish inventor Mr Ganz had been exploring the idea for an affordable car since 1928 and made many drawings of a Beetle-like vehicle.
The car made it as the iconic design ended up making new shapes, redesign of exterior and interior, flower pots, vintage sofas, business truck, vacation trailer and family bonding ideas which lead to being recognized internationally .
When you look at the smoothly shapes of the sculpture, it’s pretty hard to believe this was ever a road worthy car. The amount of metalwork, beads placed, flowers placed, painting, wiring, wood placed, lights used, making it half its impressive. Seeing the car’s features pushed and pulled to the extent that even small elements like the tail lights don’t pop.
Like the family from México who used the car to portray flowers and religious iconography of their Mexican homeland.
